Video: Police release official statement after arresting armed robbers who shot 2 Policemen dɛad in Kasoa
Ghana Police Service have released an official statement on this afternoon’s Kasoa shooting incident.
In the afternoon of 28th August 2019 gun men in an unregistered Toyota Camry shot Police personnel who stopped them at a check point on the Kasoa to Accra road.
One of the Police officers died on the spot and the other was rushed to the hospital having sustained serious injuries.
The official police press statement confirms that the gun men have finally been arrested after a hot chase by the Kasoa Divisional Police.
The statement however says the other Police Officer who sustained injuries has unfortunately passed away.
“Police have arrested two suspects involved in the shooting of two Policemen this afternoon at Aplaku near Kasoa. The vehicle, an unregistered Toyota Camry has also been retrieved together with some relevant articles.”
“Both officers stationed at Kasoa MTTD have been confirmed dead. The public is encouraged to remain calm and provide information to help weed out criminals in our society”
