Tribute to Adzo Ahadzie: Classmates of the Late KNUST Architecture Student Open Up: ‘She Held a Key Leadership Role as Our Gen Sec

Adzo Ahadzie, a sixth-year Master of Architecture student, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in the evening following her horrific involvement in a bicycle accident on the KNUST accident.

Adzo was knocked down by a speeding car while she was riding her bicycle to class. After being taken to the hospital quickly, she passed away from her wounds.

Since the news of Adzo’s passing broke, her friends have been posting on social media frequently, praising her as a bright, diligent student who is well-liked by all. An official statement from the College of Arts and Built Environment stated,

We lament the sudden death of sixth-year Master of Architecture student Adzo Akpene Ahadzie.

We send our sincere sympathies to her friends and family. Even though she is no longer with us, her motivation and spirit will always help us to build the bridges to our aspirations.”

With his homage, a friend who went to high school with Adzo touched the hearts of many online users. He remarked, “Adzo had so much greatness in her. I’ve been very sad after learning about this unfortunate incident.” She served as the SRC General Secretary during my first year at KNUST SHS.
