Soldiers arrest Burkina Faso President in Coup in what looks like a Coup

Soldiers have arrested the President of Burkina Faso Roch Kaboré in what looks like a Coup.

The President of Burkina Faso Roch Kaboré has been arrested by the country’s soldiers in a reported coup.

In the late hours of Sunday gunfire sounds was heard near the Presidential Palace and at the Military barracks in Ouagadougou, the capital city of the country.

Foreign media in Burkina are reporting that President Roch Kaboré is currently being detained at the military camp.

 

 

The government have however denied reports that the President is under arrest.

They have also refuted the coup reports by the media.

Should the coup be confirmed, it will be the 3rd coup in West Africa in recent years after the one in Mali and Guinea.
