Samuel Brown & Shaque Madison Dead In Tuscaloosa Alabama Deadly Car Accident

Two teenagers died in a crash early Saturday morning in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The accident occurred at the intersection of Skyland Boulevard East and Interstate 20/59.

According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, a 2022 Tesla and a semi-truck collided, and the car became trapped under the truck’s trailer, pinning all four occupants.

Victims Identified as Local High School Students

Although the police did not disclose the victims’ identities, many social media posts from the victims’ families and friends reported that the accident occurred after Bryant High School’s prom. The driver of the car was Madison Sims, a 17-year-old student of Bryant High School, and the front-seat passenger was Samuel Brown, an 18-year-old senior at R.C. Hatch High School. Both Sims and Brown died on the spot.

Injured Victims Transported to Hospitals

An 18-year-old female from Montgomery, who was in the backseat, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Another 17-year-old female from Marion was also transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with minor injuries and is in good condition as of Saturday morning.

Investigation Ongoing

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, according to TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor. Tuscaloosa City Schools has not issued a statement regarding the accident.
