Popular Nollywood Actor Bishop Linchung Oliver dies in car crash while returning from mum’s burial

Popular Nollywood actor, Bishop Linchung Duke Oliver, better known as Silvanus, has passed in a car crash.

Oliver is popular for the role he played in TV sitcom ‘Do Good’, was said to have been returning to Lagos from his mother’s burial, which took place on Friday, March 29, 2019, in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria when the accident occurred.

Actor and director Basorge Tariah Jnr. first broke the news of Duke Oliver’s tragic death on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, via an Instagram post while eulogising his colleague whom he described as a brother and friend.

He wrote:

“My Heart is so so Heavy right now. I am in a dark and painful place. Tragedy is a euphemism. We just lost SILVANUS of DOGOOD. My dear brother was returning from the burial of his mother when death added my friend to his mean account. RIP. These Tears won’t stop flowing.”

Tariah added:

“I am so speechless and so sad. You were such a lovely soul. You smile, you play and never complained. You leave a vacuum that most of the world cannot fill. I will miss so much, it burns my heart. Sleep! Sleep great and awesome Talent.”
