Jackie Appiah is the daughter of Mrs. Janet Owusu has Mr. Kwabena Appiah of the Asante tribe of the Akan ethnic group in Ghana.

Mrs. Janet Owusu conceived Jackie Appiah in Canada, same country she gave birth to her on the 5th of December 1983.
In the year 1993, when Jackie Appiah was only 10 years of age, Mrs. Janet Owusu moved with her daughter to their homeland, Ghana.
