American Television personality Steve Harvey is currently in Ghana the motherland to commemorate the ‘Year of Return’.
The year 2019 marks exactly 400 years since the first ship carrying slaves left the shores of Elmina to America.
Steve Harvey after paying homage to the memory of W.E.B DuBois at the DuBois Center In Accra journeyed to the Central Region of Ghana.
At the Central Region, he visited the Slave Castles in Cape Coast and Elmina where slaves were kept during the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

Harvey Steve and his family nearly shed tears as the tour guide took them through the castles and history on how their ancestors were treated in the Dungeons.
The celebrated media personality said “I could feel my ancestors on me” during the tour in the slave trade heritage site.
