Otto Addo has resigned as Ghana Black Stars coach after early World Cup exit.
Otto Addo has resigned from Ghana Black Stars after failing to qualify the team to the knockout stage of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Having lost to Uruguay today when a draw was needed to book qualification to the round of 16 stage, Otto Addo has bowed out.
He announced his exit from the Ghana Black Stars at the post match press conference held after Ghana’s defeat to Uruguay.

United Kingdom Sports Media giant Sky Sports have reported that Otto Addo has resigned.

He was appointed as interim coach when coach Milovan Rajevac was sacked after this year’s AFCON failure.
Fortunately he qualified the team for the World Cup when Ghana was drawn against Nigeria in the playoffs stage of the qualifier.
Having supervised the team at the World Cup, he has stepped down as interim coach.
Otto Addo is set to return to Borussia Dortmund where he works as a coaching staff.
