Former Blackstars footballer Nii Odartey Lamptey revealed that he was on the verge of pulling the trigger after learning for years the DNA results of his three children with his ex-wife Gloria.
The former football player claimed that when he learned the results of the DNA tests, he immediately wanted to pull the bullet and end everything.
He went on to say that he changed his mind about pressing the trigger after giving it some thought to what might occur later.
He stated in an interview that he had made the decision to pull a gun, but that he had not touched his gun since God had spoken to him. I made the decision to do nothing despite the fact that the gun was in my Tundra.
“Even though I was broken, my ability to be patient helped me get to where I am now. I choose not to use my gun because I think God spoke to me. I chose not to touch the pistol again, even though it was previously in my Tundra.

In 2013, Odartey Lamptey and his ex-wife Gloria Appiah filed for divorce after DNA testing indicated he was not the biological father of their three children.
Their 20-year marriage broke down as a result of the problem, but their disagreements about Miss Appiah’s pay led to a drawn-out legal struggle.
Miss Appiah later tried to claim ownership of her ex-husband’s seven-bedroom East Legon residence as part of her alimony payment after their divorce, but the Appeal Court rejected her request.
In 2017, the Accra High Court ordered Odartey Lamptey to provide Miss Appiah GHC 200,000, a car, and his four-bedroom Dome house in return for her moving out of her ex-husband’s seven-bedroom apartment.
