NDC hawks fire gunshots at NDC Regional meeting; 1 dead, others injured

NDC vigilante group, the ’hawks’ has killed one person and others are injured at a Regional Meeting in Kumasi which was attended by the General Secretary, Asiedu Nketia and the Party Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

According to an eyewitness, The Hawks stormed the Regional Headquarters to stop the meeting for reasons best known to them. The came armed with guns and cutlasses.

The NDC Regional Taskforce attempted to stop them from disrupting the meeting, one of Hawk members fired shot at some members of the Taskforce.

One member, Wasiu who was shot 3 times died on the spot whiles the rest have been rushed to the Komfo Anojkye Teaching Hospital. The Regional Headquarters has been locked by the police.

This comes a few weeks after people believed to be Invincible Forces belonging to the ruling NPP assaulted NDC members at the Ayawaso West Waguon By-Election.
