Level 400 UDS student commits suicide over poor examination results

A final year student of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has ended his own life

Enoch Akondor, a Development Planning student at the WA campus of UDS committed suicide when he found out that he trailed in a number of courses and may not be able to graduate.

Colleagues who found his lifeless body in his hostel room believe he drunk a poisonous substance to end his life as they found a bottle concoction in his room.

According to his friends, he’s usually the first to wake up so they got surprised he showed no sign as at 6:30 in the morning, prompting them to knock severally at his door but there was still no response.

They then hired the services of a carpenter to break his door only to find the lifeless body of Enoch.

The incident has been reported to the Wa Police who have deposited the corpse at the morgue.
