Hon Alexander Kwamina Afenyo Markin has revealed why he stood on the fence in the NPP Presidential primaries.
The newly appointed Majority leader was on Citi Fm Point Of View and he was asked how he managed his friendship with Kennedy Agyapong and the camp of Bawumia during the heated NPP Presidential primaries.
He said initially himself and Kennedy Agyapong were team Bawumia so when he told him he will compete in the Presidential primaries, he made him know he can’t openly campaign for him and he told the camp of Bawumia the same thing.
According the Effutu MP, he even told the President same thing so he opted to act as a mediator for both sides
Alexander Afenyo Markin then said as a Catholic and a Freemason, he had to be honest because it was Ken Agyapong who helped him in his most difficult times as a politician.
He said when they came to power and they were sharing positions, he was overlooked and it was Ken Agyapong who called him to his house late night.
