Illegal Miners Destroy Maize Plants, Say Gold is More Valuable

On a farm, Galamseyers cheerfully pull out corn plants, saying they don’t understand the value of maize and are just after gold.

 

Illegal galamseyers are seen joyfully weeding a fully grown corn farm in a video that has gone popular on social media with the intention of utilizing the property to extract gold.

 

In the video, these men seem to be saying that because corn cannot be compared to gold, they must clear the crop, which is almost ready for harvest.

Numerous Ghanaians are condemning these young men’s actions and demanding that they be arrested.
