If you follow NPP as a young man, you’ll go broke – Actor Michael Afrane
Popular Ghanaian actor and producer Michael Afrane has cautioned young people in Ghana against joining political parties. In particular, he cautioned against joining the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because he thinks its leaders are frugal and that doing so could put you in financial hardship.
The Kumawood actor blasted President Akufo Addo’s NPP administration in an interview, saying that they had not given the nation’s young any real opportunity.
He charged that the NPP was full of dishonest people and was involved in a number of scandals.
Afrane stated that he thought the future of the typical Ghanaian youth was grim if former President Mahama did not run again in the next elections.
He reiterated his point by saying that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members are more giving, and that joining the NPP would put one in financial trouble because of their executives’ stinginess.
Afrane also called the Nana Addo-led administration the most corrupt in Ghanaian history and denounced them for their purported involvement in scandals, theft, and corruption.
He advised young Ghanaians to carefully weigh their political allegiances and cautioned against endorsing the NPP because he thinks it will cause disillusionment and financial issues.
