” He gave me 50ghc” Asafo Powers reveals how he met Jonathan Sowah

Popular comedian Asafo Powers has now shared his story about how he first got to know football player Jonathan Sowah and the reason he utilized Sowah’s name in the majority of his comedic videos.

In an interview with GH Page, Asafo Powers revealed that he met football player Jonathan Sowah at the Golden Tulip Hotel while on his way to see a friend who was also a player.

Powers further revealed that Sowah approached him warmly at the hotel’s entrance, praising him and telling him that he should keep going because he has been watching his comedy and has seen how good he is. After that, Sowah gave him 50GHC in cash as a token of appreciation.

At the time, Asafo Powers revealed, he had no idea it was Jonathan Sowah, but he was thrilled and inspired because it is uncommon for someone you don’t know to be so good in this country. A buddy later informed him that Jonathan Sowah was the person who had come to him.

Asafo Powers revealed that although many offer enormous sums of money as gifts, he was moved by what Sowah did and decided to commemorate him by utilizing his name in his comedic films.
