Ghanaians have condemned calls by Osei Kuffour for Andre Ayew’s retirement from Ghana Black Stars.

A good number of Ghanaians have condemned Osei Kuffour’s call for Andre Ayew to retire from Ghana Black Stars.

On Tuesday May 16 2023, former Hearts of Oaks player Emmanuel Osei Kwame mounted an unprovoked attack on captain of Ghana Black Stars.

He called for Andre Ayew to be forced out of the senior national team of Ghana to make way for those he termed upcoming talent.

The Ayew retire call didn’t sit well with the footballing public as they believe captain still has more to offer to the national team.

33-year-old Andre Ayew features in the best league in the world, the English Premier League, something something the supposed upcoming players dream of.

With 7 AFCON experience including 2 grand final, why would any ambitious side drop such a player few months to the next AFCON when he will be needed to guide the young ones?

Above everything else,  Andre Ayew’s Name Written In Gold Letters In African Football Hall Of Fame.

He has paid his dues in full and deserves a better send off when the right time is due.
