NAPO, born Matthew Opoku Prempeh has been named as the running mate of Dr Bawumia.

Matthew Opoku Prempeh affectionately called NAPO has been named by NPP Presidential candidate Bawumia as his running mate.

After a long wait, the big announcement was made to the leaders of the party in a crunch meeting at Alisa Hotel.

Who Is NAPO

No, he is not Napoleon. He is Matthew Opoku Prempeh. The NAPO is a nickname derived from his Akan names Nana Poku.

Napo is the son of Oheneba Kwame Kyeretwie who was the direct son of Asantehene Otumfuo Agyemang Prempeh II.

He was born on Thursday May 23rd 1968 but instead of Yaw, he is called Kofi as he was named after his paternal grand uncle Nana Kofi Poku.

Napo is an old student of Prempeh College, a school named after his grand father Asantehene Otumfuo Agyemang Prempeh II.

He is a Physician by profession.

Manhyia South is the constituency he represents as legislator in the parliament of Ghana.
