Actress Tracey Boakye explains why she came to Ghana

Kumawood actress Tracey Boakye has explained that she came back to Ghana because she wanted to pursue her passion for acting.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based blogger and radio presenter NY DJ on Kumasi’s YFM, the Shakira Movie Production boss said that her inner spirit was always calling her to come back home ( Ghana) though she wanted to act in the United Kingdom.

“I wasn’t thinking about the Ghana Movie Industry. I was thinking about me wanting to be famous… I had the passion for acting as well so why keep it in me. I decided to come to Ghana and showcase that talent I had”

“I wanted to do movies. I wanted to be an actress. I kept telling my mum but she thought I was joking. They eventually got mad at me knowing I was stubbornly following my passion,” she said.
