VIDEO: Chereponi JHS girl bursts into tears as she sends soul-stirring plea to Akufo-Addo to end Konkombas-Chokosis conflict
The long aged conflicts between the Konkombas and Chokosis has resurfaced again in the North East Region.
The occasional attacks on rival towns by the two groups have disrupted security in Chereponi and Saboba.
In most cases the armed men of the two rival tribes do target women and children in the remote areas.

Though the state have ensured heavy security personnel in the town, it’s been the conflict is having a negative toll on children.
Junior High School children in the town have spoken on how the conflict is affecting their education.
They’ve been leaving in fear and can’t even concentrate on their books ahead of the Basic Education Certificate Examination.
One of the students who spoke to Joynews reporters appealed to the government to hasten with it action to resolve the conflict.
In a soul stirring voice she narrated how the conflict is troubling their effort to pass the BECE with flying colors.
She expressed how they want to pass the exams and make it to the Senior Secondary School.
As she was expressing her emotions, her colleagues couldn’t hide their as they are burst into tears.
