In a tweet on March 30, 2019, Deborah Vanessa hailed her ex-boyfriend, rapper Medikal as the best rapper currently making music in Ghana.
She quote-tweeted a question from entertainment news platform Muse Africa when the portal asked who Ghanaians thought was the best rapper in the country.

It came as a surprise to her fans and Ghanaians who know of how her heart was sadly broken by the rapper.
Well, the songstress has dropped a video snippet of her upcoming Extended Play (EP) dubbed The African Mermaid EP.

Medikal and Sister Derby had a whirlwind romance that turned a lot of heads for entertainment observers. Most notable of the gossip was the topic of age, as Derby is over 5 years older than Medikal. The pair broke up, with either musician putting out a song explaining their side of the love-turned-sour.
