BECE Candidate Loses Life in Road Crash in North Tongu, Another Student Fighting for Life

In the North Tongu district on July 7, two BECE candidates from Kanuwlou Basic School were engaged in a fatal car accident.

 

One contender was killed in the crash, and the other was critically injured. According to GNA, the two candidates were hit by a car while returning their sister to Volo from her visit.

The GNA received confirmation of the death from Divine Osborne Fenu, the Chief Executive of North Tongu District. “We stand with the family in their grief and will do everything within our power to provide the necessary support and assistance,” he stated.

 

Fenu expressed his sincere sympathies to the family of the departed student and promised to visit the injured student to provide support and encouragement.

The 2024 BECE has over 500,000 candidates at 2,123 designated centres across the country.
