Nigerian government has banned smoking and money rituals from movies, skits and music in the entertainment industry.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has placed a ban on smoking and money rituals in movies, skits and music videos.
This ban was communicated to stakeholders on Wednesday March 22, 2023 by the Executive Director/CEO of National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Shaibu Husseini.

This move is to start a cultural reset in the youth of the country who are being influenced by what they see in movies and skits.
The belief in money ritual amongst Nigerian gets some youth to go every length to try it.
