30 Best Senior High Schools In Ghana In 2021

When the subject or question of “Best Senior High Schools in Ghana” is raised, it breeds a lot of debate and anxiety because of the superiority complex of products of the various schools.

Sometimes the parameter people use to measure what the best schools differ so they end up wallowing in engaging in a verbal dispute instead of assessing or establishing what actually it is. People say their schools are the best because they have produced the highest number of Members of Parliament in Ghana, others too say they have the highest number of presidents, while some may also argue that they have produced the highest number of medical doctors and other critical professionals so they are the best.

Some tried to use the now-famous National Science and Maths Quiz to judge but it proved flawed because it only selected students who sit in for the entire school and their assessment is not strictly based on SHS and GES curriculum.

The best parameter so far is the West African Examination Council’s (WAEC) annual West African Secondary Schools Certificate Examination (WASSCE) ranking. That is fair because the students are all based on the same scale and inference could be made that since one school performed better than the other, it is the best for that particular year.
